JESC 2010 - The Vote
 Lerika, aka 12 year old Valeria Engalycheva, was internally selected to compete for Moldova. The broadcaster hosted a national final with 4 kids, also with Diana Sturza and Cornelia Vozian. Some competitors from 2010 such as Lollipops chose not to compete as they found the selection process in 2010 to be rigged/unfair. Lerika's song "No-No" was originally all in English but has been changed to comply with the 75% native language rule in JESC. Lerika is from a Russian orientated part of Moldova and speaks both Romanian and Russian. She has experience in Eastern competitions like New Wave. She has a very strong voice I think, that really helps make this an enjoyable entry and one that will be interesting to see how it is presented in Yerevan. |
